Today was an incredible and life-changing day for me. My mom and uncle accompanied me to the Old Town Newhall Library, where a special meeting was arranged for me to meet the Santa Clarita mayor, Jason Gibbs and some city staff. It was such an honor to receive a special award for my dedication/devotion to the SCV community, and my unique love and passion for libraries. I really enjoyed this experience and I can’t wait for my story to appear in the SCV Signal. Thank you, Santa Clarita for changing my life and being awesome! The SCV gave me not only so many possibilities, but it also helped me in finding my calling in life, as well as opening my eyes to the world uniquely. I also got to meet the SCV Signal reporter, Michael Picarella. My heart goes out to him for taking an interest in my life story.
Afterwards, my uncle took us to experience new flavors and we had a celebratory lunch at Old Town Junction on Man Street. It was so fun!
