This week, I received an exciting opportunity. I participated in an online interview for a sales representative internship position with Vector Marketing and the interviewee liked me. He offered me the position and I began my training on Wednesday. Cutco is a brand that sells knives, kitchen appliances, and other tools as well. I am excited to participate in a 3 day training session.
I began my training online through Zoom on Wednesday. On Thursday, I went to the Pasadena field office to participate in an in person training session. We did a lot today and I had so much much fun. We got to learn lots of new skills and strengthen our confidence and leadership skills. We even did a contest type of thing where we competed to see who was able to peel carrots and slice the thinnest slice of tomato. I was shocked when the guy told me the 2nd piece of tomato I cut was the thinnest slice! My first attempt, I almost cut the thinnest slice but it wasn’t a full circle because there was a broken edge. I was given a 2nd shot and I was able to cut the thinnest slice! Getting to use the Cutco equipment was amazing. The knives and other stuff were impressive!
Tomorrow is my 3rd and final day of training. It is also graduation day! I am very excited to begin this adventure as a sales rep and experience what it is like to be a salesman. I am very grateful and proud of Vector Marketing for hiring me. They saw something in me that I felt would be a great fit for the company. I believe that working at this position would help me gain more confidence and sharpen my communication and leadership skills. I can’t wait to begin my new journey as a sales rep for Cutco.
