Quick recap on my voice lessons this week…
Wednesday’s lesson with Logan Shelton was awesome!!! This was my first time in hiring a male coach and there was indeed a huge difference. I loved his style! Logan was very funny, really cared about you, and made you redo every single thing until it was satisfactory. For example, he wanted me to sing from verse 1 to the end of the chorus of Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi. However, once he heard me sing the first 2 verses, Logan immediately told me to stop and sing these 2 again until the pronunciation didn’t sound like I was speaking, but singing. I was also told not to use my diaphragm because he thought it was silly. Overall, I had a blast working with Logan and I booked 3-5PM every Wednesday this month. Shoshana is going to be impressed when I go back next month for new recording sessions.
My lesson with April Lindsey on Thursday was tough! She really challenged my abilities and my voice. We worked on singing scales like the ahs and the various vowels. She really had a tough coaching style. I’m going to need to really work on my voice to satisfy her expectations. Overall, she was a great coach and I look forward to meeting with her again on Tuesday afternoon.
