Way to go Detroit Public Library!!! I love you!!! Terri Thompson, a librarian working for this awesome library system in Michigan made a deal with me: if I covered shipping, she was going to weed through the children and YA audiobook collection and ship me as many boxes of audiobooks as she could. I got my 1st box today! Upon opening it, my heart melted. Inside, I found some of my childhood book favorites as well as some great YA books such as the entire Divergent series on audio!! I must say that out of all the libraries supporting me in my acting career and rooting me on as I become a future audiobook narrator, voiceover artist, and voice artist, the Detroit library’s Edison branch is the most awesome one!!! I couldn’t believe I received some amazing selections of audiobooks.
I have some homework to do now! I am going to treasure everything I got and really listen to how these narrators really narrate the books. It just so happens that I intend on narrating children and YA/teen fiction and nonfiction books when I do begin my career. This is the category that I love the most because I believe that my attitude, personality, and overall approach to life really suits my style of narrating these types of books. I also believe that my ability to speak in high tones, express myself in various ways, and really become truly alive and free when focused on an entertainment career can really help me achieve what I truly love in life and allow me to be the person I am destined to be. A huge thank you to Terri Thompson of Detroit Public Library’s Edison branch for supporting me in my upcoming career! I look forward to future boxes of audiobooks. Thank you!!! You made my day!
