Woohoo, I did it!!! I finished up filming my reel at the soundstage today. Man, it was such a fun adventure and tough. They worked me like a dog today! I got to Nvisionate around 9:45AM and took a tour of the building. As you saw from the photos I took, that place was huge! There were so many sets. After dropping off my clothes in the green room/changing room, I went to the lounge where there was an array of snacks and water on the table. I set down the tray of treats from my shop that I brought to share with everyone and headed to the interrogation room. You might assume that filming a scene is easy, but it certainly isn’t! We had to do multiple shoots and rounds of me as Preston being accused of stealing my friend’s Jason’s camera to film myself raping this girl named Judy Bingham. After shooting this scene multiple times, we all headed back to the lounge where I grabbed water and a snack before heading to the changing room to get into my outfit for the Chuck E. Cheese scene.
We all went to the living room set where they set up for the next scene. The set was an actual living room with a bookshelf with books, a TV, 2 couches, a fridge/refrigerator, and all the things there to make it look like a cozy living room. My pretend older sister Sara was in this scene trying to bribe me to go to Chuck E. Cheese with the family because it was a birthday tradition done every year and I was even named after the place. In this scene, I was playing the role of Chuck Edward Camboza and I didn’t want to go because it was just stupid and childish. But in the end, I was talked into going and I wore this pizza hat to make it look more cute. After doing a few takes on this, we took another break and the crew moved to the restaurant/bar set to film my commercial.
After a short break, we all went to the restaurant/bar set where I sat on a high bar stool and did my commercial regarding Boi Bandido BBQ. We all decided to change the wording a bit, so I had to say Benny Boy’s BBQ instead. I had a lot of fun doing this commercial.
After completing the commercial takes, we went out in the open where Kristin and I sat on chairs and were filmed doing an interview. Basically, she wanted to hear my thoughts and feedback on today’s events, my experiences, and what it was like to go through the 12 month acting academy/being her client. I did a mini promo for the studio, where I discussed my experiences being a student of Limelight Acting Studio, what it felt like to be at a soundstage, how it felt to be filmed for a video reel, and what advice and encouragement I would like to say to inspire people to go into entertainment and becoming an actor without worries. I really enjoyed doing this and I was very honored to complete this mini interview and help promote the awesomeness of Limelight.
Once completed, we went to have takeout lunch from Panda Express and I hung out/socialized with the crew. It was super fun to finally be able to relax and just be myself. Overall, I had a blast at Nvisionate Studios filming my reel and getting to experience what a soundstage is like today. I am so honored to have had this awesome opportunity and hope to be able to experience this again in the future. I am very proud to have completed this huge part in the training program and I am super excited to see where a career in entertainment and acting will lead me in life. Once complete, I will make sure y’all get to see the reel. Thank you to everyone for supporting me this past year and being a fan of my dedications. It has been a tough but exciting adventure and I look forward to the next chapter. Kudos to Kristin Pitts Altman and Oliver Altman for making today an amazing experience and giving me the experience to film at a soundstage. Thank you for everything you have done for me!
